“Hello, Kurt Hummel speaking,” Kurt says after he picks up the phone, voice soft and a little out of breath, and Blaine can’t help the way he starts smiling.

“Hi, this is Blaine Anderson. I- I was wondering if I could ask you something?”

“Yes, David’s father, of course. Hold on a second, I just got in the door—” There’s some rustling and then Kurt’s back, still out of breath. “Okay, shoot.”

“Go out with me,” Blaine blurts out, and he can hear Kurt’s pause over the phone, the way the rustling stops.

“Blaine…”

Blaine feels like a teenager again, almost laughing at his own eagerness, but he doesn’t let embarrassment stop him. “Um, let me try that again. Will you please go out with me, Kurt Hummel?”

Pairing: Kurtbastian
Author’s Note: If I had time to explain the situation, I would have included that Sebastian and Kurt are childhood friends. Sebastian moved to Paris when they were ten, and they still Skype and talk.

Kurt opens Skype and flips onto his stomach, putting his feet up. He swings them as he waits for it to log in. As soon as he does, he click on Sebastian’s name and presses the video call button. It takes two rings for Sebastian to pick up.

“You’re late.”

“Hello to you too, Sebastian. How are you?” Kurt asks, rolling his eyes.

“Hurt. Right in the heart. Because you’re late.”

“I had to go to Warbler practice. It wrapped up a few minutes late.”

“It wouldn’t have anything to do with Blaine, would it?” Sebastian asks. His lips pull up into a smirk as Kurt flushes.

“No.”

“You’re a terrible liar,” Sebastian says, leaning back in his chair.
